Mark started his brewing career back in 1987 having gained his brewing degree from Heriot Watt University. He went on to work for a number of breweries and has covered al aspects of brewing from raw materials right through to beer dispense. In his current role as Quality Assurance Manager at Everards Brewery part of his brief is to manage Trade Quality, and this has allowed him to share with the consumer his passion for all things beer. Mark has spoken on the radio and had articles published in the press, all helping to promote beer in its many forms. Mark runs successful meet the brewer and beer and food matching talks and has spoken to over 8000 people over the last few years and is known within the Everards estate as the "beer doctor". Having gone through the Beer Sommelier programme with the Beer Academy Mark is very proud to join such an esteemed group and has already started to incorporate his learns into his regular beer talks.
