Having begun cooking at home for family and friends at a young age, my passion for flavour and taste was ignited early on in life. Then, on my 18th birthday, when I began working in my local pub, a whole new passion became apparent to me, and I have worked in all areas of the hospitality industry since then, although mostly front of house. Since moving to Newcastle and starting work in Tilleys bar, my passion for beer has grown and grown, so the natural progression was to sit the Beer Academy Sommelier exam. I would now like to continue to pass on my knowledge and passion to staff members as well as patrons, and inspire them to try new flavours and products, whilst developing my food and beer matching sessions and doing a bit of writing about beer too. I would also like to become more practiced in the art of brewing."
