Luis Herreros - Sommelier


Having been trained as a chef, Luis became interested in taste and combinations. He started brewing beer and did a lot of self-study to find new tastes and experiences. After many years in the service industry, he gradually shifted his focus over to working more and more with alcoholic beverage, and especially beer.

In the end, he started full time working with beer at The Norwegian Beer Academy, where he daily tries to spread knowledge about beer. He is particularly interested in beer and food in combination. With the new title as a beer sommelier, it is a confirmation that all the hard work has been worth it. It also provides a solid platform for further development, as there is always something new and exciting that happens in the beer world. Luis will continue to educate people on beer so long as it’s needed.
